Anger, stress might lead to heart problems

Yes, stress has a direct impact on the body. I have seen for years the instant and direct relationship between stress and negative changes in the body. Biofeedback equipment measures moment to moment changes. Just having a patient think or talk about a stressful situation or person will trigger negative body changes. And the event can be 44 years old or older. The night in 1955 when Dad stumbled downstairs drunk in his underwear when your prom date was standing at the door…….. A horrific experience causing embarrassment and anger can burn deep and keep smoldering for years.
I was very glad to read that is small study did have a training component to teach people how to respond differently to stress and anger. I think medications can be helpful in acute or short term situations. But they are not good as a crutch and as the TV ads proclaim the side effects are long and dangerous. It is far better to return to or create a natural state of health in the body.
Anger is often a belly issue as well. I have seen patients who are in a constant state of anger and who flare up at the dumbest thing – a checker being a bit slow, someone not rocketing forward just as the traffic light changes, someone mispronouncing a word and so on. They get a boiling pot of stomach acid going that will even eat through their own intestinal walls.
Good basic relaxation is hard to beat. It is not glamorous. It just takes practice and some time but is worth every second. We have a great program for you.
