Stress, drugs and alcohol………….. not a good combination

These are stressful times………. duh. Every time there is a spike in stress, people turn to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain and suffering. It is a temporary fix or escape. But it is not a good choice. It might feel good for the moment but you do not need another habit on top of all your other troubles.

Thankfully, I heard that beer consumption is dropping with this economic crisis. This is historically significant since they began keeping records. So I am glad that some people are choosing not to be drunk through this long economic decline.

A beer or a drink with friends can be a good stress relief when done responsibly. Just do not make it a daily or hourly ritual – haha.

Here in the NW part of the US, the robberies and break ins are on the rise. As drug dependent people are driven to use any means possible to get money to buy the drugs they crave. It is quite scary. Remember to practice some kind of daily relaxation to reduce and keep your stress as low as possible.
