“This suggests that the lower income group is feeling the pinch more than we thought and this is clearly reflected in the lower-than-expected numbers at Wal-Mart,” said Ken Perkins, president of research company RetailMetrics LLC. ”

well duhhhhhh

I had a dream last night that I was meeting with the idiots in Washington about the economic crisis. I am just shocked at their stupidity to recognize and manage this crisis. They are so out of touch with reality for the average person. Today they revealed that some of the bailout money is to build a Polar Bear Museum or something like that and some other really strange projects in a crisis……………. Rome is burning, play on fiddlers.

Well what can you do with Stress like that? Economic Stress is hitting almost everyone. This is clearly a case of being a victim. You live your life and try to do your best. You find the money you saved is draining away, your job is threatened. You worry about money……….. even the very value of money is in question as billions of dollars are thrown around with no consequence and no backing.

For one thing, I have shut off the news to some extent. I used to have CNN playing all the time. I got burned out with all the craziness over the presidential election. So cutting back and filtering news can be helpful. Turn your mind and time to things that are pleasant and in your control – fun hobbies that do not cost money. Avoid discussions and debates that inflame your anxiety.

I take time to relax. I mean seriously to sit down and just Shut The World Off. Relax your muscles, send warmth to your hands and feet. This kind of deep relaxation is wonderful for the body and mind.  You can get up feeling refreshed and have a cleaner mind.
